3. Portable Device
- Artificial kidney with eraser-sized, handheld device that's wirelessly connected to it. Programmed with info. for all materials trying to pass. When material is trying to pass, kidney sends message to device which looks for match in database. Once match is found, it lets kidney know whether to reject or let material through.
- Rejected because even though it's portable & helps kidney function, it must be carried everywhere. If device gets lost, kidney can't filter materials properly. This is slow, because messages have to be sent to & from device & kidney.
K.M.R.D. doesn't have devices, so no messages will need to be passed back & forth. Functions of device are in-built into K.M.R.D., eliminating all problems.
